Judging by the number of people searching to find out where iPhoto stores their picture files, it’s a pretty common question. Fortunately, it’s very easy to find your image files; your Mac and iPhoto actually hide them in plain sight!
To find your actual pictures – to see where iPhoto has stored your image files – first open finder, and in the “Pictures” folder find the ‘file’ that is called “iPhoto Library”:
Now, control-click (hold down the ‘control’ key while clicking) on the iPhoto Library file:
