When you first go to set up a Facebook page, you are presented with a choice of six different Facebook page options – Local Business or Place; Company, Organization or Institution; Brand or Product; Artist, Band or Public Figure; Entertainment; and Cause or Community.
But at that point, you have to just guess what the different types mean, as there isn’t any explanation right there.

Not very helpful, really, right? Because it doesn’t explain what your page will look like, or what options you will have.
The main difference is what information you can share in the “About” and other sections of your page.

By the way, if you’re not happy with the Facebook page type you chose, you can always change it under the “Page info” settings in your Facebook page admin area.
