We seem to most often find ourselves complaining about Facebook, so when we heard about their parental leave policy for employees, we just had to give them a pat on the back. Two thumbs up, even, for being a forward-thinking employer that gives any new parent – female or male, birth or adoption – four months of paid parental leave.

While this policy has been around for a while, we only just heard about it, and thought it worth telling the world.

And get this: Not only does Facebook give new parents four months paid leave (while continuing all of their benefits), but they also give them $4000 “baby cash”, and once the parent returns to work, if they have to utilize daycare, Facebook will reimburse them for up to $3000 per year.

Way to go, Facebook! This is one trail you are blazing that we hope many others follow!
