Remember how last month Aunty told you about AOL’s new AIM Mail free web mail service?
Well, AOL has not only made it official that they are providing 2gig of email storage, putting them squarely in competition with both Gmail and Yahoo, but they are giving away cool prizes, to boot!
Says AOL:
“This isn’t just another sweepstakes, you know.
We’re giving away hundreds of daily prizes. And when we run out of daily prizes, one lucky AIM Mail user will get our Grand Prize: a 2005 MINI Cooper S. Not bad.”
The Internet Patrol is completely free, and reader-supported. Your tips via CashApp, Venmo, or Paypal are appreciated! Receipts will come from ISIPP.
In addition to the top prize, a 2005 Mini Cooper, they are giving away … are you ready for this? T-Mobile Sidekicks (without us even suggesting it!), Sony PSPs, and Starbucks cards! You’d almost think that we had designed this contest!
So, if you haven’t already signed up for AIM Mail, now is a great time to do it, and you can do it [Page no longer available – we have linked to the archive.org version instead].

They do, however, apparently support IMAP. At least according to the FAQ, anyway.
Slow to load, and ads all over the place. I’ll stick with Google.
