As Amazon continues to cross-pollinate with its new toy, Whole Foods, many have been looking forward to reduced prices at the Whole Foods checkout line, which they have started to see. Now, in addition to reduced prices, Amazon has announced that holders of their Amazon Prime Rewards Visa will get a 5% cash back bonus on all Whole Foods purchases.

Snapchat, the “now you see it now you don’t, but it didn’t really disappear” company, has partnered with Square, the money people, to provide a new mobile payment service called Snapcash. Of course, it’s really just Square, private labelled for Snapchat.

The growing backlash against the arrest of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, and the suspension of Internet hosting and financial funding services such as MasterCard, Visa and Paypal (through which Wikileaks was receiving donations) have led to retaliation by so-called ‘hacktavists’ in the form of DOS and other cyber-attacks against the websites of MasterCard, Visa, Paypal, and those Internet hosting and DNS services which have disconnected Wikileaks, in some cases bringing the services to their knees. Paypal was brought down yesterday, as were MasterCard and Visa.
