With Valentine’s Day approaching, this seems a good time to review our newest site for you! The Right Flowers.com is a site dedicated to helping you know which are the right flowers – and which are the wrong flowers – to give or send. Whether the occasion is a birthday, anniversary, host or hostess flowers, memorial, just because or – yes – Valentine’s Day, TheRightFlowers.com will help you determine which are the best flowers to send. And because the site is not affiliated with any florist or other flower distributor, you can really trust the information and recommendations you find on the site – there is no hidden agenda.

Along with information about which are the best flowers for a given occasion, TheRightFlowers.com tells you which flowers go with which birth month, which flowers to give for a particular anniversary, and which is the official flower for each of the 50 states.

And on top of that, The Right Flowers also offers lots of other interesting background and information. For example, did you know that the tradition of giving flowers for Valentine’s Day goes all the way back to ancient Rome? (Read about that here.) Or that when you give flowers as a way of saying “thank you”, the type of flower (and even the size of the flower) correlates to the magnitude of your “thanks” and even the size of the deed for which you are offering thanks? (Read about that here.)

But perhaps the most fun feature of The Right Flowers.com is their “True Stories” section! Here readers can submit their true stories of of a time that they either gave or received flowers. Embarrassing or sweet, silly or serious, readers are invited to submit them!

This is a new feature for The Right Flowers, but there’s already one great story up there. Read about why you shouldn’t send a dozen red roses to a young lady in Russia!
