Wondering where to recycle electronics, or how to recycle electronics? Electronics recycling has never been easier than with the Amazon Electronics Trade In service! It’s the perfect place to dispose of electronics and other gadgets you no longer use! Cell phone disposal (well, cell phone recycling), calculators, digital cameras, iPods and other MP3 players, Amazon takes recycling electronics seriously! That’s because disposal of electronics is a serious issue, particularly in today’s disposable electronics culture, so being able to not only dispose of your gadgets, but to get Amazon credit for them – and to have Amazon pick up the shipping tab, to boot – is awesome!
It’s simple…. as Amazon explains, just search for items to trade in, send them back to Amazon for free, and you receive Amazon credit when they arrive at Amazon (the credit is in the form of an Amazon gift card).
Here are just a few of the thousands of things that Amazon will accept in trade (keep reading for the “how to”!):
The Internet Patrol is completely free, and we don't subject you to ads or annoying video pop-ups. But it does cost us out of our pocket to keep the site going (going on 20 years now!) So your tips via CashApp, Venmo, or Paypal are VERY appreciated! Receipts will come from ISIPP.
Let’s say that you have an iPod Touch that you want to trade in:
Your search will show you the various models that Amazon will accept for trade:
Then you just select the right one, and complete your trade-in order – it’s just like ordering something on Amazon, only in reverse – instead of you giving them money and them shipping something to you, you send something to them, and they give you credit for it!
Currently Amazon is accepting nearly 6,000 different electronics for trade-in!
So, what do you have laying around your house that you can turn into Amazon cash? (And just in time for holiday gift shopping!)
