If there were just two things that anybody with an iPad should know how to do, these are them.

If this is your very first time using an iPad, everything may feel somewhat complicated initially. While the iPad used to feel more like a huge iPhone, Apple has altered the iPad’s operating system enough to separate both devices.

But do not worry; the two ideas we’re about to show you will help you start to master your iPad in a snap.

1. Open Control Center on Your iPad

The Control Center on your iPad is a helpful tool with lots of faster ways to do different actions, which now you can do without opening up any application. For example, you can rapidly use Bluetooth, activate your flashlight, or set up a timer.

You can use and personalize the Control Center on your iPad much like you would use and personalize the Control Center on your iPhone. However how you open up the Control Center will depend upon your iPad design.

If you have a contemporary iPad with a minimum of iPadOS 13 or a later software update, you can open up the Control Center by swiping down, from below the top right edge of your display.

On the other hand, if your iPad is older and is still operating iPadOS 12 or an older os, you can open up Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of your display (directly above the Home button).

2. Utilize Split View on iPad

Split View is an awesome iPad function that allows you have 2 applications open side-by-side. This function is ideal for making the most of efficiency and beginning to utilize your iPad as a Mac substitute. Here is how you can utilize this function:

  • Open up the application you wish to utilize in Split View.
  • Tap the three-dot switch close to the top of your display.
  • Tap the Split view button on the left side of the menu. It is a rectangular shape with a line right in the center. You will be rerouted to your Home Screen.
  • Select the other application you wish to utilize in Split View.
  • And that is it. Your iPad will open up the 2nd application beside the first application you opened up.

We hope that these tips allow you to feel much more control over your iPad, and allow you to enjoy all that it has to offer you!
