The White House has taken the novel step of starting a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help raise funds for Syrian refugees. In partnership with the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Prez has gone on Kickstarter with an appeal to the American people: please send money.

The government’s sponsored online petition site “We the People” promises a White House response for all petitions with more than 25,000 signatures, and sticking to that promise, they issued an official response to the online petition entitled “Secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.” The petition received over 34,000 signatures.

Earlier this month the White House released what it is calling its “Cybersecurity Legislative Proposal”. It makes for an interesting read, and so we thought we would share it with you. Let us know what you think.
