Close on the heels of Quora’s data breach just two days ago, online florist 1-800-FLOWERS has announced that they have been subject to a data breach that has been going on for 4 years. The breach was of payment data including credit card number, expiration date, card security code, and the first and last name of the card holder. As many as 75,000 1-800-FLOWERS customers have been affected.
The United States’ neighbors to the north have sent a love letter to the U.S. in the form of a ‘Tell America It’s Great’ hashtag (#TellAmericaItsGreat) and Internet video campaign. And the video greetings from Canadian individuals, telling the U.S. why they think America is great are pouring in, reminding us that, as one poster put it, America is already great.
Score one for the good guys: the Justice Department has said that they have taken down a huge, international child pornography ring that ‘met’ on an online bulletin board known as DreamBoard, where the members in the exclusive, members-only Dream Board child porn ring would trade images and videos of children involved in sex acts, all under the age of 12, and including children as young as infants. Heartbreaking!
