Google Maps has now mapped the Ruins of Pompeii – complete with street view! Now, without leaving your chair, you can experience (ok, nearly) what it’s like to walk around the Ruins of Pompeii!
While there has been a fair amount of chatter about how Google Street View is so invasive of privacy, one has to admit that this is a very cool use of Google Street View.
So, without further adieu, here is an image from Pompeii, and if you click on the image, it will take you to the Google Street View map, where you can stroll Pompeii to your heart’s content.
