So I got this telephone call today – maybe it’s like one that you got too. It came from the phone number 917-793-5694, and it purported to be from Southeast Trust, phone number 800-706-6208, and they claimed to be responding to my online inquiry to consolidate my credit card debt. Only problem is, I don’t have any credit card debt, let alone did I make an inquiry online. But you can be sure that someone who does have credit card debt, and who got this call, might be hooked and reeled in.
Here’s the full text of the voicemail message they left me:
“Hi, this is Cathy with Southeast Trust. We’re responding to your online inquiry. You’ve been approved to consolidate your credit card to as low as a 1.5% interest rate. This is not a new loan. You’ve already been approved by a certified nonprofit agency. So, if you can please have your statements ready when you call, my number is 1-800-706-6208. Again, my name is Cathy and you can reach me at 800-706-6208 until 10 tonight. Thanks and have a great day. ”
Again, this is a scam (clearly, given that I don’t have credit card debt, and I never filled out any online inquiry). So, don’t fall for it.

Got a message from 917-246-4353 purporting to be from World Patent Marketing. They wanted to follow up on an idea I submitted to them previously.
Obviously I never contacted anyone from that firm which has a different phone number and is located in Miami.
They must be calling our area since it is a retirement community and are looking to bait a few new fish.
Just got a call from them today 2/11/2015 and now say they are the IRS.
A phone number + of 917-258-7500 and 917-246-4353 and there’s an 800 or 877 866 that claims they have any drug you need and I was sacammed to this phone call , I asked what does it say on your statement and it will say card clever pharmarters . It’s will also have a surcharge debit of 16.17. This is a scam as they will go through paypal, barigotech, medpharmnaturural. They say there in canada with a 917 area code. It’s a fake pharmacy selling narcotics 970 number, duke Christopher or vise versa and Michael Adams have been coming fraud, Id theft and stealing your money. Robert urlich at 206-4143955.

How exactly is it a scam? So they somehow got your number from some crap you signed up for online or something, and you don’t have any debt. WOW. This company has helped my wife and I consolidate our debt, with no problems, and here I see all these idiots exclaiming SCAM online, and yet I have yet to see a single person that was in any way lied to or “scammed”. YOU never even did any business with them, and yet you are yelling SCAM! So, please, pray tell, how did they “scam” you?
Im 17 I have 3 credit cards but all of them are brand new and i dont have the information for them Yet today 12/8/11 I recieved a call from this number while i was in physics class. Im glad i didnt answer it…
Same call. Gave them my credit card names ss# date of birth but when he got to my checking account number I got spooked. Hope I didn’t give him too much info. If so what do I do?

I work at a non-profit and had a call on hold from an individual who identified himself as Tim Clark. Our office manager went to find me as the guy said he found our organization online and wanted to donate $1,000. I accidentally hung up on the holding line and when I called back, I became suspicious. Glad to see these postings and not waste anymore of my valued time.
Yea they called me yesterday and left a message. I don’t answer phone numbers I don’t know. So I thought it was a call for my Mom since our numbers are so close.
I tell them I am constipated and I have a bran muffin and a cup of coffee, and can they wait an hour and I let them know how things came out

They are still at it I also have no credit cards and they sent me the same message on my cell phone I didn’t recognize the number so I didn’t answer it. Glad I looked up the number to see where it was coming from thanks for posting this :-)
They have changed the name of the company!! This is the message I just got – Same as the one above except it now says “Financial Freedom” not “Southeast Trust”
I received the same message on 07/11/2011.I dialed the 1-800-706-6208. I finally spoke to a Phillip Green and he was asking about my debt amounts. He wanted my acct numbers for the cards I wanted to consolidate and needed my bank account number to bank debit the amount for the first payment. He then stated they would hold that amount and start the payment the following month. I asked” so you just gonna have my money sitting on hold?” He stated yes.
1 more thing, caller ID has them listed as Diabetics Surp….? but on the message they sai that they are calling from Financial Freedom Credit Services. thanks for the transparency, not!
received exact message today at 7.7.11 @ 9.13am EST to call them back at 800-706-6208 when I get their invite statement in the mail. The other thing I noticed on my caller ID is that is from 805-309-5564 from Cali. Follow this URL and u’ll see that BOA sold ur info and how to opt-out of BOA’s marketing 3rd parties. Uggh!

I received this call today, they left a message stating i’ve been preapproved for a loan to reconsolidate my credit cards, to have my statments ready when I call them….. I do not have a single credit card in my name!
I just received the same call and it was an automated message that I had been approved for a loan and they wanted me to provide some additional information.
This number called me at 9 a.m. this morning 6-23-11, didn’t leave a message though.
I got the exact same message today 6/23/11.
