Ok, we’re about to share the greatest little secret: there is an app out there that works with your iTunes library to add lyrics to iTunes for your songs – all of your songs (or at least pretty darned near all). In case you weren’t aware, there is a function that allows you to add lyrics directly to the information associated with each of your songs in iTunes. And you can do it manually (search, find, copy, paste, lather, rinse repeat), but this little app does it for you automatically! We love this app!

The app is called “Get Lyrical” (link below), and it is ridiculously useful – and inexpensive. In fact, it’s an app that you can download for free, and donate what you want (we suggest a $10 to $15 donation).

And here’s the really cool thing that many people don’t realize: once you’ve added lyrics to your iTunes collection, the lyrics will display in your music player on your iPhone or iPod as you are playing a song, so you can sing along (or not). You will need to do one more step to display lyrics when playing music on your iPad.
