Disaboom is a social networking website created especially for the disabled – and for those living with people with disabilities and handicaps. Created by Dr. J Glen House, himself living with the disability of quadriplegia, Disaboom offers both medical expertise, and the insight of community members, who share their personal stories and experiences, and the result is a powerful resource for the handicapped where none before existed.
We’re really proud to be involved in this effort! The Boulder Dushanbe Relief effort, which is working with the United Nation’s World Food Programme, is a joint relief effort coordinated by us, and supported by the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, the Boulder Dushanbe Sister City organization, to help save the 260,000 people in Dushanbe and Tajikistan who are starving and freezing to death due to the extreme winter right now.

Monday, April 16th, saw the horrific shootings at Virginia Tech. Tuesday we posted the full text of the emails sent by VA Tech to warn the students of the shootings as they were going on. Today, while the friends and families of the shooting victims – as well as all of the students and faculty at Virginia Tech who lived through the terror – struggle to make sense of it and to overcome their ordeal – we ask you to please, please take a minute to make a donation -any donation of any amount – to the fund that has been set up at Virginia Tech to help with grief counselling and expenses.
