Many Apple iPad reviews gloss over or entirely neglect the iPad microphone, but this is a mistake for what is iPad if not a first real entry into the fully-convergent device arena? In fact, as this iPad review will show you the iPad is one screaming dictation machine.
By using the free Dragon Dictation iPad application (did we mention it’s free?), you can dictate directly into your iPad and have the text appear as if by magic with a very high degree of accuracy. You can then send the text as email to one of your contacts, or simply copy it and paste it wherever you’d like.
Dragon Dictation works like any high-end dictation software. By speaking not only the words that you wish it to transcribe, but pronouncing punctuation, you can create properly formatted sentences and paragraphs simply by speaking to your iPad.
To prove our point, this entire article was dictated into Dragon Dictation for the iPad, and then simply copy and pasted here into the Internet Patrol.

Sadly there is a time limit for two reasons, one the device is just not capable of the same functionality of a regular computer, two, it is limited to prevent someone from using it as a phone.
But is it still time-limited? The pc app allows you to dictate as long as you wish. But at least on the Iphone, there’s a max of 30 seconds. Has this limit been extended on Ipad?
