Move over, make room for Rover – on the couch, with the remote control! Television for dogs is now a reality, with the launch of Dog TV. Available through DirecTV or online, DogTV is quite literally a cable channel for dogs. Aimed at the pet owners whose dogs are left alone for hours at a time, DogTV hopes to ease your pet’s lonely and bored hours.
Explains the DogTV website, “DOGTV is scientifically developed and Pup approved. DOGTV is cable’s first television network for dogs that is created exclusively for canines, and the humans who love them. …DOGTV’s 24/7 programing helps stimulate, entertain, relax and habituate dogs with shows that expose them to various movements, sounds, objects, experiences and behavior patterns, all from a dog’s point of view.”
Gilad Neumann, CEO of DogTV, and previusly Head of Business and Legal Affairs at Jasmine TV, explains “We know dog parents are constantly seeking solutions to ease the loneliness and boredom of their stay-at-home pups, and now they will be able to access DogTV through DirecTV (DTV).”
