Fix a wet cell phone? Not possible. Everyone knows that there is no wet cell phone fix. Or is there? A new product is claiming to help users to not only fix wet cell phones that have been dropped in water, but also to fix that wet iPod or other electronic device. Called the Bheestie Bag, it’s a zip bag filled with tiny beads that draw moisture out of whatever you put into it, leaving your previously water-logged mobile phone, iPod, or other electronic device bone dry and, at least as often as not, functioning again.

And because the Bheestie bag is relatively inexpensive (especially compared to the cost of replacing that sopping device) – costing just $20.00 – many people buy one or two in advance, to have them on hand, just in case.

The Bheestie Bag site is covered with glowing testimonials. Raves one fan, “For my birthday last December, a group of my friends met in Las Vegas for a five day fiesta. I had just bought myself a digital camera for my birthday and coincidentally was the only person that had one on the trip. By day 4 I had tons of pictures on the brand new camera, only to have them all ruined when I dropped the slippery thing in a toilet of all places (long story)! Two days later I jammed the camera in my bheestie and after 24 hours it came out working as good as ever. ”

Gushes another, “I was in the car on my new cell phone, when I finished the call I set the phone on my lap. As I shifted in the seat, the phone slid off and right into a cup of coffee in the console holder. I grabbed the phone immediately, but it was too late…. It was dead! A friend let me borrow her Bheestie bag and after 24 hours the phone was working perfectly again. Thanks for saving me $300 to replace it. I now keep Bheestie in the house ready for action.”

We haven’t tried the Bheestie Bag ourselves, but we certainly plan to get one and keep it on hand. At only $20.00, it seems a good investment in peace of mind.
