Hi,

I work with emailcloud.com, an email spam filtering company.

We have watched the rise of phishing over the past few years and have been amazed...both at the sheer ingenuity of the con-men involved and their success!

Over the past few years we have noticed that the rather feeble phishing attempts are now being replaced by really professional looking versions. Also, while PayPal & Ebay were the original targets we are seeing the rise of small banks and insurance companies in the rise.

Phishing works, we need to educate people to be more protective of their personal data.

I was victimized just in less than a week by a Yahoo Messenger hacker. I lost my email account and my IM. The hacker managed to scrupulously extracted moneys from my list of contacts knowing that i was real. How could this kind of internet fraud happen? I have been exhausted my effort to report this matter with the Yahoo authority and no proper action or response has been taken by them. I want those people who are behind this scam be punished extensively. There alot of important informations kept in my account, is it still possible to retrieve them.... NEED YOUR HELP AND BE CAUTIOUS....
The way the hacker did was using the account my friend whom he has been hacked and intriquingly telling me that he has a new photo to share. The moment I accepted it all my accounts crushed and I could not access my account anymore no matter how i do it, even reporting it to Yahoo customer care.... BEWARE and please provide SOLUTIONS....

I've just fallen victim to this damn scam! Any suggestions on how to recover my username? Is Yahoo any help when it comes to problems like this? Is there anyway to get my contacts out of that username?

This also happened to me - and I have always been so careful, so this is quite realistic! I gave up after about two demands for a login. It only hit me early next morning what it might have been. I went in myself and changed my email password to something totally different (it was about 6 hours after I first received the instant message). I don't have any credit card info in the account thankfully. Is it asking for that?
