While Netflix has in the past been notorious for hiding the ball when it comes to the Netflix phone number (which we do provide below), we have Netflix’ phone number in another sense - the iPhone sense. Netflix appears to be the newest major online presence looking at creating an iPhone app - in this case a Netflix iPhone application that will allow you to stream Netflix movies to your iPhone right from your Netflix account. Netflix users have started being presented with a survey that reads, in part: Did you catch all the goodies in there - no advertisements, pause and rewind, and no additional fees! Sounds pretty good, eh? There’s also another interesting little clause - says the survey, “your iPhone must be connected to a Wi-Fi network”. This may be because smart Netflix execs want their customers to have a good experience (which would preclude watching a Netflix movie over AT&T’s bandwidth), or it may have to do with AT&T requirements (or not wanting to cause their Netflix customers to go over their AT&T contract limits for download usage), but whatever the reason, we think that it’s a darned smart idea - whether it will negatively influence how likely an iPhone-owning Netflix user is to use such an iPhone app, we can’t guess - but it shouldn’t. Here is the actual survey (we mean, what it looks like - you’ll need to log in to your Netflix account to take the survey) - note the highlighted language about wifi: Now, here at The Internet Patrol, we stopped using Netflix years ago, when we got too busy to even watch the movies we were getting from them in a reasonable time frame, while at the same time it became so cheap to buy first-run movies on DVD, that acquiring the ones we really wanted made more sense. Still, the ability to order up a movie or television show and watch it on the fly from anywhere we have a wifi connection (which is everywhere, as we have a Verizon Mifi), could induce us to sign up with Netflix again. Oh, and in case you actually want to call Netflix, the Netflix phone number for customer service is currently 866-716-0414. There is also a general information number that you can call, and that Netflix phone number is 866-636-3076.
Imagine that Netflix offers its subscribers the ability to instantly watch movies & TV episodes on their iPhone. The selection availability to instantly watch includes some new releases, lots of classics and TV episodes. There are no advertisements or trailers, and movies start in as little as 30 seconds. You can fast-forward, rewind, and pause or watch again. The movies & TV episodes you instantly watch are included in your Netflix membership for no additional fee.
