The reason Mr. Larsen was able to hold out as long as he did in this video is because he consented to the "torture" and because he knew with certainty that his "captors" would not harm him. While the video offers an excellent representation of what water boarding looks like, because of this, it cannot capture the absolute terror to which its victims are subjected. Any activity of this sort, when engaged in by someone who has not consented to the activity, is torture. Confessions obtained through this method (or any other method of torture, sleep deprivation, etc.) should not be admissible for any purpose and any information obtained through this methodology should be considered poison fruit. Any member of our government that participates or supports in any "interrogation" method of this sort should be removed from office and prosecuted for assault. Mr. Mukasey should NEVER be confirmed as Attorney General given his equivocating on this subject. Use of methods like this make the United States participants in and supporters of terrorist.
