I dare Starbucks to mess around with
google reader! Which, of course, I
use and enjoy and is hosted online,
not on one's computer.

BTW, how can I set up a VPN
so that I can use the internet
safely while at a hotspot or
other wifi location?

I use a personal VPN for all WiFi open networks. I have never used Starbucks, so can't comment on that. Hotels, motels, etc are simply too 'open' and as far as security goes.

Orrrr, you could back up your list of RSS feeds by Exporting them to a .opml file. In case of a problem, I can always reload all my RSS feeds in an instant.
