If you’re anything like Aunty, you’ve had more than your share of novice users in your organization who are, well, let’s call a spade a spade, human Internet security risks just waiting to be exploited.

If you have a user or three in your organization who meets the description, then CyberSource of Melbourne, Australia has a deal for you.

The Safe Internet Computer.

Viruses can’t infect it. Worms can’t penetrate it. Hackers can’t glean sensitive information from it.

It’s true.

They do it by providing no write capability, and no storage capacity. The system wipes itself clean every day. If you want to save anything, tough - dump it to a USB drive.

Aunty remembers a time when a computer with nothing but ROM would have been considered ..well…a calculator. A time when a computer with no storage capacity would be considered pointless. A time when a system which regularly erased any traces of the previous day’s work would be considered defective.

Now it’s a product.

The Safe Internet PC: coming soon to a deserving user near you.

  1. “Simply plug the USB key in, and use it to safely store your work. Removing it and plugging it into other computers allows you to transfer those documents.”

Oh you have GOT to be kidding…
