Ye gods and little fishes, as if the the bluetooth vibrator, the Toy, wasn’t enough! Now the folks at OhMiBod have brought us the first iPod vibrator, the OhMiBod, which they claim to be the first “music powered vibrator.” According to their literature, the OhMiBod, which they claim to be “the first socially acceptable vibrator”, “lets people actually feel their music. Its integrated audio circuitry converts the beat and rhythm of their favorite tunes into vibrations, creating a stimulating, nonrepetitive vibration while they listen. Although optimized for all iPod models, OhMiBod accepts input from virtually any electronic audio output source with a 3.5mm jack including MP3 and CD players, laptops and more. The volume controls the intensity of the vibrations, the higher the volume, the more intense the vibrations.” They also claim to have had no trouble in building a pool of beta testers - 500 in all. No surprise there, I .. uh .. guess. Frankly, however, the thing looks nothing more than it does a temperature probe. And that appearance isn’t helped by the fact that the OhMyBod is tethered to your iPod or other music source by a five foot long “freedom cord”. You can also share your favourite ‘mood music’ by joining their forum, “Club Vibe”. Cute. So, just in time for Christmas, for that lady who has everything, including an iPod and a healthy sense of self - the OhMiBod.
