Occasionally we run across great deals out there on the Internet, and this is one great deal on Amazon Prime. In fact, I’d say that of all the Amazon Prime deals I’ve seen, it’s the best deal I’ve ever seen on Amazon Prime.

In fact, it’s the one deal on Amazon Prime that compelled me to sign up for Amazon Prime myself.

For those of you not familiar with Amazon Prime, it gives you free 2-day shipping on any of the products that Amazon carries and ships themselves (books, movies, music, and tons of other things like electronics, computers, software, groceries, beauty products, clothes, and even exercise equipment).

Here’s how Amazon describes it:

Unlimited Express Shipping:
Free Two-Day Shipping on over a million in-stock items sold by Amazon.com
Overnight Shipping for only $3.99 per item—order as late as 6:30 PM ET
Ship to any eligible address in the contiguous United States

Effortless Shopping:
No minimum purchase required
No need to consolidate items to save on shipping

Convenient Sharing:
Share the benefits of your Amazon Prime membership with up to four family members living in the same household

Seriously, you can get a lot of things from Amazon, and with no sales tax, and unlimited free 2-day shipping (excluding the initial cost of joining Amazon Prime, of course), it can be a pretty sweet deal.

I know people who buy things like diapers from Amazon for this very reason - no tax, free shipping, and it arrives 2 days later, delivered to your door, instead of having to lug big boxes of diapers from the store to your car to your house.

The thing which always stopped me was that the initial cost to join Amazon Prime for a year is $79.00. Now, sure, I can spend $79.00 in shipping pretty quickly, but with Amazon you can wait until your order is large enough to qualify for the free super saver shipping (which they offer on orders over $25.00). But how many times have you added “just one more item” than you’d intended on buying, just to get it up over that $25.00 threshold? I know that I’ve done that plenty of times.

Still, that $79.00 up front was pretty hard to justify.

Then I found this deal. This was so amazing, that it made it a no-brainer.

Are you ready?

Join Amazon Prime, for $79.00, and Amazon instantly gives you back $50.00 to spend in their grocery department. Now think about this… their grocery department has more than 24,000 items in it - everything you can find in the aisles of your local grocery store. You can use the $50.00 to buy things you’d normally go to the store for anyways, only they get shipped to your door for free.

This brings the cost of Amazon Prime down to just $29.00 for the year.

Wow!

I did it. And I’m really glad I did - it’s wonderful. I love it. And if you’ve been thinking of joining Amazon Prime, this is the time to do it, and I promise, you’ll love it too.

  1. After a few orders, Amazon started sending my packages DHL which sends them through the U.S. postal service. So, I no longer get the 2 day delivery I paid for with the Amazon prime membership. As of now, I have a package that is out somewhere and Amazon has not refunded my money or membership fee.
