Is T-Mobile down? It sure is! Countless T-Mobile customers were left without either cell phone or data network services today, as the T-Mobile network went down around the United States.

Customers from coast to coast, and even beyond, are complaining that they are unable to make phone calls, send or receive text messages, or access other data services on their T-Mobile devices.

T-Mobile has confirmed the outage, and customers report being told by T-Mobile representatives that it is a “global outage” and that “something must be wrong with the satellite.”

A brief statement from T-Mobile earlier simply confirmed that:

“T-Mobile customers may be experiencing service disruptions impacting voice and data. Our rapid response teams have been mobilized to restore service as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as more information is available.”

At the T-mobile Twitter account, a T-Mobile representative most recently advised that “We’re making good progress restoring voice and messaging service to affected customers,” and pointed to an update on the T-Mobile site which stated that:

“We’re making good progress restoring voice and messaging service to affected customers.
At this time, approximately 5 percent of T-Mobile customers are experiencing service disruptions.

Issues began at approximately 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. Our rapid response team is working continuously to fully resolve this disruption.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused our customers.

Anybody here affected? And, do you have your service back?
