While the eyes may be the windows to the soul, there can be little doubt that Robert Scoble has been the window to Microsoft for the thousands of people who followed his “Scobleizer” blog. As the chief blogger at Microsoft, Scoble was probably one of the most visibe - and certainly the most popular - of any of Microsoft’s public facing personalities. Now news has leaked out that Scoble is leaving Microsoft to join video-blogging start-up PodTech.net. But Scoble is quick to set the record straight when people suggest that he is leaving because he was unhappy at Microsoft, or because they didn’t try hard enough to keep him. Says Scoble, “how do you know that the company didn’t move heaven and hell to keep me happy? They did. I have the best job in the tech world. Bar none.” Is this big news? What do you think?
