Pet Phone Lets You Feed Pets, Talk to Pets, Remotely   - 2,236 Views,

Summary: Pet Phone, like PetsCell, is a new device intended to allow you to communicate with and, to some extent, tend your pet remotely. However unlike PetCell, which is a cell phone for pets, Pet Phone allows you to remotely feed your pet, using just your cell phone.

Pet Phone is a device which allows you to feed your pet remotely, and to talk to them remotely, using your cellular phone.

Essentially an automatic feeder (you know, those gravity devices with the bowl at the bottom of a hopper), the Pet Phone dispenses a dose of kibble at your command, which command is issued by your using your cell phone, and pushing the correct buttons.

Pet Phone also allows you to talk to your pet remotely. Just talk into your cell phone, and your pet will hear what you have to say through the speakers built in to the Pet Phone device.

Unfortunately there is no way for Fido to tell you if the device has malfunctioned, and he has been put on an unintended forced diet while you are away.

Pet Phone is not to be confused with PetsCell, the bone-shaped cell phone for pets which can be attached to your pet’s collar, so that you can talk to them via your cell phone. (Yes, really.)

The Pet Phone is currently available in Japan. No word on when it is due for export. But if you know someone traveling to Japan who would be willing to bring one back for you, you too can feed your pet remotely. Combined with the technology which lets you pet your dog across the Internet, you’ll never have to be in the same room with your pet again.

Now, if only someone would invent a device to clean up after your pet remotely, we’d be all set.

Curious? You can see a picture of Pet Phone here.
