The link below will take you to the Google gadgets page, where you can peruse 1000s of Google gadgets, to your heart’s content.

When you find one that you want to put on your own website, click on the gadget. This will take you to a page devoted just to that particular gadget. When you are on the gadget’s page, you will see some additional information about the gadget, and a button which says “Add to your webpage”. Click that button, and that will take you to a page where you can customize the widget (change its size, the color of its borders, etc.). When you have the widget just as you want it, click the button at the bottom of the page that says “Get the Code”.

This will not take you to a new page; rather it will just open up a tiny, one-line window below the “Get the Code” button. The text in that window is the code. Just highlight it all, copy it, and paste it into your website code, and voila! Google gadgets on your website!
