For at least a few people - and for at least a few moments - Amazon seems to be down today, as people are finding that they are unable to connect to Amazon. Efforts to reach the site have been met by moments of hanging while browsers were “connecting to Amazon,” followed by error messages.

The error messages that people received ranged from ” Http/1.1 Service Unavailable,” error messages, to “unable to connect to the server” messages.

So far efforts to reload or reconnect have been successful within a few tries for most people.

No word from Amazon as to what the problem may be, if indeed they are aware of it and admit to any.
