For those of you who like your virus information fresh and al dente, you can’t beat the online virus information offered by Panda Software.

Panda not only provides you with the name of the virus, and date that it was discovered, but it gives you an instant reading as to the threat level of the virus (1 through 4 red dots, with 4 red dots being the most serious), and then, should you want it, extremely detailed information to the text that it is available.

In one instance this week, involving the Sober.I worm, Panda put up a bar graph showing the countries most affected (targeted) by this virus. They were, interestingly, in descending order, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal and Belgium.

For another virus, Yanz.B, they include copies of the pictures which are being delivered with the virus (two different pictures of the Chinese pop singer Sun Yan Zi.

And, oh yes, they offer fixes for the viruses and worms as well.

A site well worth checking out, you can find it at http://www.pandasoftware.com/virus_info/.
