Ok, now that you know to avoid the virus which deletes MP3s, here is some happy news. Did you know that Amazon offers free downloads of songs in MP3 format? Yep, it’s true! At any given times there are 200 free songs at Amazon, free for the asking (and the downloading). You read that right: 200 songs for free. And the song list is updated every six hours. Wowee!

And these are not unheards of songs from no-name artists! Right now featured songs include tracks from Beck, Moby, Yo La Tengo, Depeche Mode, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Marley, and Ani!

You can find the current list of all 200 free MP3s at Amazon here.

And for the icing on the cake, Paul over at funkwit.com has created an RSS feed to let you know when the list is updated! You can get the RSS feed at http://funkwit.com/feed/amazon/rss/.
