We don’t know what his return policy is, but French citizen Philippe Dubost’s resume, which looks like a fake Amazon page, complete with fake Amazon reviews, has quickly become an Internet sensation. Residing in Paris, the web product manager designed PhilDub.com to look for a job abroad, as he is ready to travel. Titled “Philippe’s Amaz’ing Resume,” Dubost fashioned a perfect Amazon page, and the detail is impressive. The little touches include: The title page with a link to hire him: An “Add to Cart” option which links to his email address: The ability to ship him from France: Product specs, including his background: And a detailed Product Description: And of course, no Amazon product page is complete without reviews: And just when you thought the resume couldn’t be any more detailed, you will notice an ad on the page, with a link underneath saying, “Why the heck am I seeing this ad?” and this pop-up: This is no doubt a clever way to present your resume, especially as a web product manager. If you’d like to see Dubost’s full resume, go here. No word on Amazon’s reaction, but the fact that he is in France may buy him some time before Amazon’s lawyers force him to take it down. What do you think of Philippe’s Amaz’ing Resume?
