Did you know that you can listen to NPR online? Online or off, if you’ve ever enjoyed National Public Radio - be you a frequent or only occasional listener of NPR radio, we hope that you’ll read on.

KQED is the San Francisco national public radio affiliate. However, even though they are headquartered in San Francisco, they make their entire program available to listen to NPR online - over the web - free - wherever you are, whenever you want. NPR Fresh Air, NPR All Things Considered, NPR Car Talk, NPR Morning Edition - all of the NPR programs are there. With just a web browser, you can tune in to KQED national public radio from around the world. Talk of the Nation, To the Best of Our Knowledge, the BBC World News, in fact all of NPR news - all available across the net through KQED. No need to try to find NPR radio stations when you travel - just tune in to KQED on the web! And it doesn’t cost you a dime.

We think that’s pretty spiffy. And we take advantage of that service quite a bit. And that’s why when KQED went into their pledge drive this week, we were more than happy to make a donation.

Now, KQED is offering all kinds of nifty gifts just for donating a few dollars. Just $40.00 will get you a year of Newsweek, and six months of the Classical Archives online. Spend a bit more and you can add such cool things as one of those great Eton hand-cranked radios (it even charges your cell phone!), or six bottles of wine. And of course in each instance you are helping to pay for the programming that you can enjoy any time, from anywhere, for free.

But now we’d like to sweeten the pot, to do more to support this wonderful service.

So, make a donation online, through the KQED website - send us the receipt for your donation (they will email you the receipt), and we will send you your choice of any of our own ebook publications for free! Just forward a copy of the email receipt to us, and we will email you your choice of “How to Spam Proof Your Windows Computer”, “Survive Divorce & Custody: The Single Father’s Guide”, “Choosing the Perfect Spam Filter”, or “CAN-SPAM and You: Emailing Within the Law”! Valued at up to $29.97, one of these ebooks can be yours for free, in addition to the pledge gifts from KQED, just for making a donation - any donation - to KQED.

Just make your donation to KQED here, and forward the receipt to us at info@theinternetpatrol.com, and tell us which ebook you’d like to have as your gift from us!
