It’s time again for March Madness. For those of you who don’t follow sports, March Madness refers to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Division One basketball tournament, which occurs during three weeks in March. During which sixty-five universities duke it out in 64 games. So popular is March Madness that The NCAA now streams it live on the Internet with a service called March Madness on Demand (MODD); and so ardent are March Madness fans that Comcast has sponsored a button on the viewer called “The Boss Button” which, when pressed, throws up a fakespread sheet, so that fans can watch while at work without getting busted.

The Boss Button is such a popular feature that 1.5 million users hit the Boss Button last Friday, representing 60% of MMOD’s total viewers that day!

Now, whether or not it will fool your boss we can’t say. However whether it’s right to watch March Madness on your boss’ dime is another matter, and to that we have to say “no” - if you have to hide it from your boss, then you shouldn’t be doing it at all.

Boss Button sponsor Comcast, of course, sees it differently. Said a Comcast spokesperson, “There was a lot of exciting action yesterday, in the way of an avoidance of upsets. A lot of people were certainly checking out March Madness on Demand. We knew the boss button was a great opportunity. We’re very excited.”

The Boss Button is featured at the bottom of the MODD player:

When you hit the Boss Button, it pulls up this screen:

You can watch March Madness on Demand, and get your own Boss Botton, at NCAASports.com
