The philosoper George Santayana is widely credited with famously uttering the advice that “Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.”

It is no secret that one of my three tenets of life is “Be the change”, exhorted by another great philosopher, Mahatma Gandhi, when he said “You must be the change that you want to see in the world.”

The “Be the Change” video which appears below is my effort to make a statement, invoke some emotion, and shake people into being the change. Many of the pictures I used I believe to be in the public domain, however I have made an effort to seek contact and obtain permission for every picture used. Many already appear on many sites and it’s nearly impossible to determine with whom permission rights may rest. if you believe that you are the true copyright holder of any image used in the “Be the Changeâ€? montage, and wish to either grant me permission or ask me to remove the image from the montage, please email me here. And yes, I’ve been in touch with the New Seekers’ management for permission for the background music.

Be sure to turn on your sound before viewing this video.

To those fallen in 9/11, and those fallen in conflicts before them - Gressi non obliviscimur.
