AOL Sues Instant-Message Spammers (with Apologies to Dr. Seuss)

When you get a junk email, that’s what is known as spam,
When you get a wanted email, that’s what is known as ham.

But when the junk is instant messaged, we like to call it spim,
And when the spammer can be found, we like to lawsuit him.

When the spammer can’t be found we likely will blackhole him,
If he still tries to come around we will have to whackamole him.

Now this spammer had some spams to send but he didn’t want to mail ‘em,
So he sent the spams as spim and now AOL is going to nail ‘im.

They said “We take it rather badly when you send spam to AOL,
And if you think we’re going to take it, then you can go to [bleep!]

Then they sued the dude with CAN-SPAM which isn’t just for email,
And it may even be a felony, so he might do time in jail.

So the spimmer spammer’s on the hook for sending out his spim spam,
Because AOL’s an ISP who won’t put up with flim flam.
