I had to giggle this morning when I saw the headline: “EMail Service Blocks Pornography and Spam Based Upon FTC CAN-SPAM Criteria” Ok, the FTC CAN-SPAM criteria is that you have to put “Sexually Explicit” in the subject line of pornographic mailings, and, eventually, “ADV” or something similar in the subject line of non-explicit mailings, which otherwise fall under the regulations of CAN-SPAM. So, essentially, this service is announcing their ability to filter on key words in the subject line. Wow. And I’ll bet the PTO issues them a patent on it. EMail Service Blocks Pornography and Spam
